What matters most in any studio is the energy it holds. Mine’s simple but full of heart—favorite books, a few special rocks, family keepsakes, candles, a tiny altar, and usually a cat or two keeping me company.
My work is rooted in memory, myth, and light. As a Spanish-born artist living among California’s redwoods, I carry two worlds in me: the warmth and poetry of the Old World, and the raw, untamed beauty of nature here. My paintings often come from small moments — a childhood shadow, a sacred place, a beam of afternoon sun — and I try to hold onto them, to keep them alive a little longer.
