Atmospheric watercolors of the coastal wilderness
Living in a cabin tucked deep within the giant redwoods, these mountains have become my ultimate sanctuary and creative refuge. Surrounded by the ancient forest and the quiet crawl of coastal mist, I find a grounding peace that flows directly onto the paper.
This series is an intimate invitation into the silent, sacred spaces that I call home and inspire my artwork.
Sometimes, you don't know which small moments will have the biggest impact.
I painted this little study on a day when stress and worry barely let me pick up a brush. I wasn't' trying to create a masterpiece; I was just trying to find a single moment of quiet on the paper.
But as the colors settled, something shifted. This small piece became the seed for the entire Santa Cruz Mountains Collection.
It's my personal reminder that even on the most difficult days, a small act of showing up for yourself can be the beginning of a profound change.
The broader view. Before stepping into the deep forest, these pieces anchor the collection with sweeping views of the mountains, exploring how light and shadow move across the ancient landsca
Life above the forest floor. Inspired by quiet moments watching the wildlife right outside the studio window, these pieces capture the fleeting presence of the birds that navigate the mountain mist and ancient branches.
Stepping off the path. The heart of the local wilderness is found in its oldest trees. These pieces focus on the grounded, enduring presence of the forest floor and the massive trunks that shape the mountain's landscape.
Beneath the towering redwoods lies a world of quiet detail and deep shadows. Explore the ferns, native flora, and hidden life found on the forest floor.
While the focal pieces of the exhibition are housed in eclectic, one-of-a-kind vintage frames, the Studio Collection offers a cohesive and accessible extension of the same narrative.
Presented uniformly in solid walnut or teak, these intimately scaled works—ranging from fluid watercolors to bold relief prints—keep the viewer’s focus entirely on the quiet details of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Original, hand-pulled block prints celebrating the striking textures and wildlife of the local canopy. Pressed on specialized archival paper and presented in matching solid teak frames.
Artwork exploring distant horizons, abstract landscapes, and diverse wildlife beyond the redwoods.
